Here is a more in depth look at the tools I use to create all my work. These are products that work for me. 

Copic Markers

An alcohol based marker that is blends well together to make different gradients 

Sakura Koi Watercolor

A lower end watercolor kit but colours look good and works really well when not over saturating 

Acrylic Paints

I don’t really have a brand of acrylics I use most, I’ve used all sorts of types from thicker to thinner paints. I would choose a paint depending on which aesthetic you’re aiming to achieve

Alcohol Inks

Pinata are one of the most common brand of alcohol inks. Though you can use any ink as long as the base is alcohol. I also use Copic inks

Pentel Graph Gear 1000

Ever since discovering this pencil they are the pencil I gravitate towards. The silicone pads add such a comfortable feel when sketching. 

MONO Zero Eraser

I use regular erasers. But for finer detail and precise corrections I find this comes in handy

Molotow One4All

These markers are great for painting or adding highlights on a drawing 

MuHui Watercolor Pencils

You can create a very unique texture with watercolor pencils. It takes a lot of practice and experimenting but quite a useful tool

Gelly Roll Pen

White Gelly Rolls are one of the pens I use most. They are great for adding highlights on a eye, around a character and on metallic surfaces

Types of paper

In the world of art you can get lost in all the different brands of paper. I will go over the type of paper I use and my favorite ones  I use the most often. I do use other brands but I will highlight the ones used most often. 

Strathmore Bristol

This is the paper I use the most. Very versatile and can be used for many different kinds of mediums. I mostly use Copic markers on Bristol

FABRIANO studio watercolor

This watercolor paper has a lovely texture and also has a nice paper weight. 

Strathmore Toned Tan

Toned tan paper is great so make colored pencil pop. Wooden pencils, charcoal and Copics are ideal

YUPO - Medium

Yupo paper is a non porous paper that does not absorb ink. This is perfect when using alcohol ink s 

Block Print

A brief list of the equipment you’ll need to begin block printing. For a more in depth description of equipment I would suggest checking out ‘riseandwander’ She is where I got all of my own information and makes wonderful prints!

Speedball LInoleum Cutter

This multi cutter is ideal for beginners and cheap. Comes with most sizes you will need.

FLEXCUT Carving Tools

These are quality tools but a little more expensive and do require sharpening 

Speedball Professional Relief Ink

A water soluble oil ink that leaves rich, intense and crisp archival qualities prints

Speedball Soft Rubber Brayer

Made from soft, natural latex gum rubber to cover your blocks in ink

Speedball Block Printing Baren

The nitex nylon face creates an ultra smooth glide across your paper to help transfer the ink. 

Acrylic Sheet

An acrylic sheet to roll the ink and get an even coverage 

Strathmore Lightweight Printmaking

A light-weight and thinner paper with a textured finish

Strathmore Paper 400 Series Printmaking Pad, Heavyweight

A heavy-weight and thicker paper with a textured finish

Acrylic Pour

A great technique and anyone can try. Gives a great effect and abstract look. Many different methods and growing in popularity. Made famous from the “dirty pour”

Wooden Paint Panel Boards

Wood blocks are perfect for acrylic pours. Especially if you’re looking to add a layer of resin. 

Floetrol

A medium to improve performance and reduce brush marks. A base to used to thin out paints

Silicone oil

The oil is use to create Larger Cells. Using more can create many many cells

Acrylic Paints

Most paints will work just fine for this purpose.  However the higher quality paints have a richer pigment.
